SERVICES AND AREAS OF FOCUS
WHAT IS PSYCHOTHERAPY?
Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, is a collaborative treatment method for emotional and behavioral patterns that may be causing distress or hindering well-being. The goal of psychotherapy is unique to each client. Typically, people seek psychotherapy to gain relief from symptoms, maintain or enhance daily functioning, and to work towards living healthier and more productive lives.
Psychotherapy is not a guaranteed treatment option, and it often involves talking about sensitive subjects that bring up uncomfortable or challenging emotions. Consider your readiness for encountering these discussions prior to starting your therapeutic journey.
As a psychotherapist, I do not diagnose mental health disorders, complete psychological assessments, or prescribe medication. Please refer to your doctor, a psychiatrist, or a psychologist for such treatment.
